Cambridge homeowners have more roofing options than most towns this size, which is good news and also makes picking one harder. Two of the five companies below are actually headquartered right in Cambridge; the rest cover the town as part of a wider Isanti County service area. Here’s how to sort them out.
Start with where they’re actually based. A contractor headquartered in Cambridge can get a crew to your street faster and has a reputation in town to protect — not just a service-area page that lists Cambridge among fifteen other cities.
Then check BBB accreditation, not just star ratings. Star ratings can be bought or gamed; a BBB rating reflects how a company handles complaints when something actually goes wrong, which is the moment that matters.
Then look at how long they’ve actually operated. Minnesota roofing sees a wave of storm-chasing crews after every major hail event — companies that show up for a season and disappear once the insurance payouts dry up. A company with a decade-plus track record has weathered enough Minnesota winters to know what they’re doing.
Here’s how five established options compare:
| Company | Based in | BBB | Years in business |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ascension Roofing & Siding | Isanti, MN | A+ | 15+ |
| Ascend Exteriors | Cambridge, MN | A+ | 10 |
| NHH Roofing PLUS | Isanti, MN | A+ | — |
| Liberty Roofing & Exteriors | Cambridge, MN | — (4.5★, 51 reviews) | — |
| Up Top Construction, Inc. | Rush City, MN | A+ | 35 |

Ascend Exteriors
Headquartered in Cambridge itself, Ascend Exteriors has held BBB accreditation with an A+ rating since 2022 and has been operating since 2016. They’re certified by both GAF and Owens Corning and handle roofing, siding, windows, and general contracting — a solid pick if you want a contractor whose home base is Cambridge proper.
NHH Roofing PLUS
Based in Isanti, NHH Roofing PLUS carries an A+ BBB rating and BBB accreditation, with roofing, siding, and storm damage repair among their core services.
Liberty Roofing & Exteriors LLC
The other Cambridge-headquartered option on this list, Liberty Roofing & Exteriors holds a 4.5-star rating across 51 reviews on Birdeye.
Up Top Construction, Inc.
Based about 15 miles away in Rush City, Up Top Construction is the most established name on this list by a wide margin — BBB accredited since 1996, with 35 years in business. They handle residential and commercial roofing, siding, storm damage restoration, windows, and gutters.
The bottom line
If local presence in Cambridge itself matters most to you, Ascend Exteriors and Liberty Roofing & Exteriors are your two headquartered options. If track record and manufacturer-backed warranty coverage matter more, Ascension Roofing & Siding’s combination of A+ BBB accreditation, three separate manufacturer certifications, and 500+ reviews across three platforms is hard to match on this list — and Up Top Construction’s 35 years in business shows staying power few others here can claim.
